The Jet Report for Aug 26

From TJ Rosenthal....

The Jets Giants game scheduled for 7pm has been changed to 2pm due to fears of Hurrican Irene’s dangerous weather.

In fact due to the threat of inclement weather caused by the onset of Hurricane Irene, the Jets shrewedly cancelled their one night time practice Thursday, set to take place at former Summer training home Hofstra.

Last Summer Giants WR Victor Cruz made a name for himself AGAINST the Jets with a monster second half performance. There are plenty of fringe players on both New York clubs who could benefit from a similar outing to the one that Cruz had. Provided that the potentially severe conditions will allow anyone the opportunity to shine.

Plaxico Burress returned to practice and reportedly had no back issues that bothered him earlier in the week.

The Jets are getting set to embark on their final two preseason games, which will be played within five days of each other. The third game is typically the final one in which coaches choose to use their starters. The fourth game being one where backups fight for the spotlight with the hopes of catching onto the clubs 53 man roster or practice squad.
